A man from Houston was killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday evening in Riverside, authorities said.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. at the split of Interstate 635 and U.S. 69 Highway. Troopers say the 38-year-old man was in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle.
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver involved in the crash fled the area, and the vehicle remains at large. The incident is under investigation as authorities work to identify the driver responsible.
